Praia da Marinha, West Quinta Do Lago;  If you are willing to travel a little further, you might want to consider visiting Praia da Marinha, a beach which lies on the other side of Albufeira, closer to the west and easily accessible by car from Quinta do Lago. Praia da Marinha is one of the most popular beaches in the Algarve and has been voted as one of the most beautiful in the world. You can access the remote location of Praia da Marinha via its cliffside steps to access the golden sand, clear water and caves that are begging to be discovered. Praia de Vale Figueira, Aljezur:  For nature lovers and surfers, this beach near the village of Aljezur is enchanting. Natural beauty abounds; climb the cliffs for breathtaking views and enjoy an almost deserted stretch of perfect sand. With nothing more than a narrow, unpaved road leading towards it, visitors are advised to bring their own food and water.

Praia do Ancão, Almancil:  Praia do Ancão is the place where locals in the know and the Portuguese locals go to enjoy the time on the beach. Despite its secluded appeal, there are still plenty of restaurants and bars nearby to enjoy, with water sports being an attraction for tourists.

Praia de Vilamoura:  The Praia de Vilamoura beach is located between the Vilamoura marina and the fishing port of Quarteira. This is the most popular beach of the region. as it is the closest beach to many of the major hotels, which also means it can get very busy during the summer months. If you enjoy surfing or bodyboarding, you will enjoy the white waves of Vilamoura, but equally there are no strong currents so it's safe for children to splash around.

Praia de Quarteira: Praia de Quarteira extends along the coastline in front of the town of Quarteira and begins just after the fishing port. This beach is similar to Praia de Vilamoura, with a large expanse of sand and clean sea waters, but is very popular due to the close vicinity of the town and hotels. The main attraction of Praia de Quarteira is the pleasant beach promenade which makes for an enjoyable walk.
